Local Man Found Drowned In His Pool

POLICE are awaiting the results of an autopsy on a local man who was found drowned in his home pool.

Joseph Armstrong, 43, was pronounced dead after police and paramedics were called to Gilt Manor.

Mr Armstrong’s body was found by his wife, Mrs Lily Armstrong, in the pool house late on Sunday afternoon.

Mr Armstrong was known to be a keen swimmer of above average skill.  It’s believed the Armstrong’s were having marital difficulties in the lead up to Joe’s death, with Mrs Armstrong asking the deceased to move out of the Manor just days before he passed. 

Police are yet to reveal if they believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
